1). Welcome Note
The management of the John Kennedy College welcomes back students,
educators and the non-teaching staff for this academic year 2016. A
special thought goes to Form 1 students and members of the staff who
are joining the JKC family for the first time.
2). School Calendar 2016
Term 1: Monday 11 January to Friday 01 April
Term 2: Monday 18 April to Friday 15 July
Term 3: Monday 08 August to Friday 28 October
3). JKC - Microsoft Associate Showcase School
With the nomination of JKC as a “Microsoft Associate Showcase
School”, 2016 will be a year of Innovation in terms of Pedagogy,
Management, Communication & Visibility among others.
Congratulations to Mrs. L. Appadu and to Mr. F. Jamalkhan who have been
nominated as nominated as Microsoft Innovative Expert Educator. In
line with this project, Educators have been requested to promote facilitate
e-Teaching & e-Learning and for communication with students.
The school administration will also promote e-Communication with staff
and parents/responsible parties. Emails can be sent to jkcrector@govmu.org
to ease urgent communication.
4). 2016 Pan African Youth Leadership Program
The school has the pleasure to announce that two our students came out
as finalists and have been selected, on a national basis, to take part in
the 2016 Pan African Youth Leadership Program. They will fly to the United
States, for a period of three weeks, to represent the school in the program.
We wish to congratulate We wish to congratulate Maximilien CHONG
LEE SHIN and Damon DUCHENNE for their commendable achievement.
5). School Certificate Results
This year started on a good note and already seems to be very promising
with the Cambridge SC Results.
Results for students having taken part in the Cambridge School Certificate
examinations show an overall of 98.4% pass. The rector joins members
of the staff of JKC to congratulate all those who have successfully passed
their exams.
