It is with great pleasure that I associate myself with the setting up of the JKC school website. This indeed coincides with the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the college.
As a national college, throughout its 50 years of existence, JKC has left its imprints on the various walks of life in myriad ways. Ex-students of JKC are shining as high level professionals in different fields and even as Minister. To the credit of JKC are several laureates. Here, I would like to pay tribute to all those Educators and previous Rectors who had shaped the destiny of the students and consolidate the institution as a venue for peak performers.
JKC students have a label of their own and they proudly own it. As the new Rector of the college (since March 2013), I would appeal to all JKC students to redouble their efforts and to toe the guidelines of their Educators. By functioning as a TEAM and bearing in mind the importance of discipline this will take the college back to its golden days in terms of performance and national prestige.
I would make a special appeal to the Old Boys of JOHN KENNEDY COLLEGE to constitute themselves into an ALUMNI ASSOCIATION to motivate and inspire the present and future generations of “Kennedians” so that the celebrations of the 50th Anniversary of the college may go beyond 2013.
The college has been named after the stalwart John Fitzgerald Kennedy who had a dream for his people and for his country. Let us be inspired by his teachings and achievements.
“We have the power to make this the best generation of mankind in the history of the world or to make it the last.”
John F. Kennedy.
Together, as a team, we have the potential to live up to all the expectations and to realize all our dreams.
YES WE CAN!!
Long live JKC!
